Here are the details and rules for the 2008 Designer Chick Contest...brought to you by Girl Indie.
To enter, you must submit one web-resolution photo of your product, category, your full name, your business name, website address (if applicable) and email address. Anyone can participate! All we ask is that the item MUST be handmade by you. This can also include embellishing existing items. Your photo should be edited and ready for judging at the time of submission. Photos should not be any larger than 475 pixels wide and can contain no watermark (ie. business logo, co name, etc). Any photos that do not follow the above guidelines will be discarded from the contest.
There are four categories for this contest:
Mommy - products made for women
Baby Gear - products made for baby
Children's Accessories - any item used for adornement (bracelet, necklace, bows, clippies, headbands, etc)
Children's Clothing - both boy and girls clothing is allowed in this category
You may only enter one product total. You may not enter more than one category.
The contest will run on the following timeline.
June 6th - contest announcement
June 6-30th - entires must be received for each category
July 1-13th - we will organize the entries
July 14-20th - voting for each category
will take place
July 23rd - announce category winners and award prizes
July 25-31st - category winners are combined and voting for grand prize
August 1st - grand prize winner is announced
and prizes are awarded
All entries MUST be received on or before June 30th. Any entires received after than date will be discarded from the contest. All judging will take place on the blog by our readers and visitors. Only one vote per category will be allowed.

1 month ad (150x150) on the Girl Indie Blog $40 value
The ad shall run for one month from the date it is received by the winner.
Inclusion into the Fall (Holiday) Shopping Guide for the Girl Indie Blog $50 value
A 150x150 ad in the 2nd edition of the popular Fall/Winter Holiday Guide. The guide will run for three months starting October 1st.
